CAT 2020 will be conducted by Indian Institute of Management, Indore on November 29 in two sessions. CAT 2020 registration will be open from 5th of August and the last date to fill the form is 16th of September. The admit cards could be downloaded from 28th of October till the date of the exam i.e. 29th of November.
The registration fee for the exam is Rs. 2000 (gen candidates) and Rs. 1000 (reserved category) which is a slight increment over last year’s Rs. 1800 and Rs. 900 respectively. The exam will be conducted in around 156 cities across India. This year, applicants will have to choose 6 exam cities instead of 4 while filling the application. The candidates will be assigned a city following their given order of preference.
There will be no change in the exam pattern this year. The total duration will be of 180 minutes with a sectional time limit of 60 minutes for each section. Both multiple-choice questions (MCQ) as well as ‘type in the answer type’ questions (TITA) will be present in the exam, more details of which could be seen in the mock test available from 16th October on the CAT website.
The exam will be held in two sessions on the 29th of November 2020 and the result will be declared tentatively in the second week of January 2021. The CAT 2020 score will be valid till 31 st of December 2021.
The exam will be conducted taking into account the corona-virus crisis. The information mentioned above and that provided on the CAT website will depend upon the directions issued from time to time by the government and the CAT authority. So, candidates are advised to check the CAT website https://iimcat.ac.in/ regularly.
